TRAKTOR is filled with effects and comes with a beat grid which makes it more of an asset for those performance DJ’s like A-Trak, Q-Bert & DJ Kraze. For those looking to perform their favorites with their own spin on it, Traktor is the way to go. It requires more effort from the user in making the program work for them, but this customizability aspect is what draws most to TRAKTOR from the start.

Serato Scratch Live is more bare bones, but not lacking anything. The program stays true to the original roots of DJ’ing with little-to-no bells & whistles. It is designed with the traditional DJ in mind; the ones who had the power to make or break taste like Gaslamp Killer, Mix Master Mike & DJ Jazzy Jeff. Old school philosophy, new school technology.
