Overview 
DJ101 provides a preliminary understanding of today’s DJ gear as well as basic mixing and scratching techniques. No matter what your genre of choice is, we provide the basic core fundamentals that you can use with every style of music. Get acquainted with your personal workstation which is full of the best equipment in the business including Technics 1210 turntables and Rane 56S mixers. Learn how to mix tracks as well as basic scratch theory.  DJ 101 also covers the history and culture of the DJ.

What you'll learn
You'll start with the basics: faders, pitch control, platters, EQ, and more. Basic scratches,  music theory, principles of mixings, and beat matching and also getting your DJ name.

Graduation
To Graduate you must perform on our instructor station and meet specific requirements.  Your friends will be there and this will be your first performance.
